Morellino di Scansano, organic wine, red, 2010 Poggio Tre VValle
intense dark red, pronoucned aromas of red and black berries with a touch of wood. Extraordinarely powerful and smooth mouthfeeling, with plenty of ripe fruit and delicate notes of toasted wood and a well structured, velvety aftertaste.

Winemaking
Merlot an Alicante grapes are harvested manually during the first weeks of September and Sangiovese one or two weeks later. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks with temperature control, and the malolactic fermentation in concrete tanks during the winter. Refining of the organic wine is partly made in concrete tanks and in barriques, which have been used already twice or three times before.

Poggio Tre Valle
Poggio Trevvalle is the name given to a small hill located in Maremma, Tuscany, between the towns of Grosseto and Campagnatico. the two bothers Umberto and Bernardo bought the farm situated there towards the end of 1998. Since then their aim has been to make bottled estate wines in the most natural, organic and simple way, at an affordable price, that are pleasing to drink on any occasion and, most importantly, that have a recognizable taste and flavour.
