It is a well structured and full bodied wine, with aromas of blackberry, blackcurrant and balsamic notes that lead into a long, sweet and spicy finish. Winemaking It is made from Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot grapes that grow in the vines planted on the north facing side of Poggio Trevvalle, where the soil is sandy with clay banks. The grapes are harvested manually according to their date of maturity - st: Merlot in the first week of September, Sangiovese in the third week of September and Cabernet Sauvignon at the End of September. The alcoholic fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks with temperature control. The malolactic fermentation in new barriques (225 l) and in new oak casks (500 l) oak) where the wine remains for 12 months. Poggio Tre Valle Poggio Trevvalle is the name given to a small hill located in Maremma, Tuscany, between the towns of Grosseto and Campagnatico. the two bothers Umberto and Bernardo bought the farm situated there towards the end of 1998. Since then their aim has been to make bottled estate wines in the most natural, organic and simple way, at an affordable price, that are pleasing to drink on any occasion and, most importantly, that have a recognizable taste and flavour.
