enlarge Rioja rosado, organic wine, Bodegas Bagordi This is a vigorous and independent rosé wine which proves that the era of wines in which any wines which were “not white and not red” were called "rosé" is definitely over. In spite of its intensity, this organic wine is very fresh, with a great many fruity aromas, smooth on the palate, pleasant and dry. Will drink well now through 2013 at temperatures of between 8 and 11 degrees centigrade. Winemaking Since only really ripe grapes have a lot of content which gives the wine its taste and its harmony, the grapes for this rosé are harvested when they are completely ripe. This is when the sugar content is high as well. This rosé has been thoroughly fermented and thus has an alcoholic content of 13.5%. Bodegas Bagordi is in the northern part of Rioja and was established by several deeply committed wine-growers in 1995, who now farm a large part of their own vineyards ecologically and who attach great importance to producing the very best wines from the very carefully cultivated grapes in their cellars.
